What Do Grades A+, A, B Mean for Refurbished Computers

Refurbished Hardware Grading — What Is It?

When browsing refurbished laptops or computers, you'll find a condition label on each product — A+, A, A-, or B. This system is called grading and tells you exactly what cosmetic condition the device is in.

Important: grading only refers to appearance. Functionally, all grades are identical — every refurbished computer has passed complete diagnostics.

Grade A+ — Like New

A+ devices look virtually brand new. No visible scratches, dents, or wear.

Best for: Client meetings, gifts, or when appearance matters most.

Grade A — Excellent Condition

Grade A means minor cosmetic imperfections visible only on close inspection.

Best for: Best value for money. Ideal for office use, home office, students.

Grade A- — Good Condition

Grade A- has visible signs of use but nothing that affects functionality.

Best for: Desk-bound laptops where cosmetics don't matter.

Grade B — Visible Wear

Grade B devices have clearly visible signs of use. Fully functional.

Best for: Maximum savings. Great for servers and test machines.
